Stop Motion Animation

In this introductory session each student will use iPads to create their own claymation stop-motion animation video. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided! Best for grades 4-8.

Level up your stop-motion and digital animation skills with these guided open studio sessions. Bring your own device or use one of Coulee Arts’ ipads to work on your own project and learn new tools and techniques. Best for grades 6+.

D&D w/Dusty

Jump in on this single session adventure where thrilling & spooky creatures await you at every turn! This single session is great for beginners or players looking to have an exciting mini-campaign. Best for ages 8-15.
Date: Sundays - October 4th, 11th, 25th

This three-session youth campaign will test the adventurer’s spirits and wits as they battle mysterious creatures and an unforgiving jungle. This campaign is good for those who have played D&D before or are looking to dive in with a new group of adventurers. Best for ages 8-15. MUST commit to all 3 sessions.
Dates: Sundays - November 1st, 8th, and 15th
Time: 1-3:30pm
Cost: $70 for the full campaign (all three sessions!)
Stand-up Comedy Workshop

La Crosse’s top comedy talent will give you the guidance and tools to create and perform your own 5-minute standup comedy set! Come experience this empowering form of self-expression–and find community, inspiration, and laughter along the way!
Date: Wednesday’s - 10/7, 10/21, 11/4, 11/18
Time: 6:30-8pm

18+ Group Guitar Lessons

In the beginner’s course, you will learn simple chords and strumming patterns to your favorite rock/pop songs of today and yesterday. We will not be focusing on scales or theory, but rather jumping in with learning songs. Guitar 1 for the absolute beginner.
Dates: Wednesdays - 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/11
Time: 7-8:30pm
Cost: 6 sessions for $120 Adult | $100 student
Equipment: You may bring your own guitar, or rent a guitar for FREE for the duration of the course. Provided courtesy of Dave’s Guitar. All sheet music will also be provided. -
In this second level course, you will up your game with expanding to more complex strumming patterns and chords, including bar chords. This class will also not be focusing on scales or theory, but rather you will be learning slightly more complex songs in a group setting.
Date: Thursdays - 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12
Time: 7-8:30pm
Cost: 6 sessions for $120 Adult | $100 student

Live Coding Music Workshop

Learn the art of live coding, where software is written live to create electronic music and driving dance beats! No experience required! Bring your laptop, a pair of headphones, and a desire to experiment! Note: AI is not involved in this process.

A foundational, highly interactive course designed for young beginners ages 9–17 who want to explore the world of on-camera acting, build audition confidence, and master the technical nuances of performing in front of a lens.

School In-Service Days

When school is out, spend the day getting creative at Coulee Arts! Each in-service day features a different movie-inspired theme with a mix of art, film, hands-on projects, games, creative activities, and movie time.
Dates: 9/24, 9/25, 10/16, 10/19Films: Zootopia 2, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Minions & Monsters, and Hotel Transylvania
Time: 9am-3pm | $10 upgrade to stay past 3pm

Celebrate Devil’s night (the night before Halloween), with an immersive Halloween concert featuring the band Toaster Ghost and Viemue. Come for the music and explore the various immersive and digital spooky elements. The event is 13+, Alcohol only for those over 21. Costumes are highly encouraged.

Come and gather at Coulee Arts on the first Monday of every month for a free drop-in open creative hour. An inclusive and welcoming gathering place to host your book or art club meeting, bring a creative project you are currently working on or just a cozy place to do a puzzle or play a game with friends. General art supplies wil be available for those looking to dabble. Snacks and Beverages will be available for purchase.
